A tool to help you learn and to think.
Read PDFs and EPUBs, write notes that draw their own diagrams, ask about the page you are on, and run your terminals and remote machines beside them. Speak to it naturally. A native, GPU-accelerated app with top-notch performance.
Every page, sharp at every zoom.
Open a 500-page textbook or a whole shelf of novels. PDFs stay crisp at any zoom, and EPUBs are typeset by Kaho's own layout engine, with the book's fonts, illustrations and covers intact.
- Reader mode clears away every bar and button, leaving only the page.
- Split the window to keep the book, your notes and a terminal side by side.
- Comics, scans and images open in the same reader.
A library on the first launch.
Kaho ships with shelves you can open from the sidebar: public-domain classics from Standard Ebooks, Hindi literature in Kaho Editions, and NCERT textbooks for every class. One click and you are reading.
Covers and editions by Standard Ebooks, dedicated to the public domain.
Kaho Editions: Hindi classics by Premchand, Jaishankar Prasad, Nirala, Devaki Nandan Khatri and more.
A sample of Mathematics, Science, Hindi and English covers from classes 5 to 12. Textbooks courtesy of NCERT.
Every CBSE textbook, class 1 to 12.
The Textbooks shelf carries NCERT's books for every class from 1 to 12 and every subject: Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Economics and more, in English and Hindi editions. Open a chapter, read it, and ask Kaho to explain any page.

Notes that draw.
Kaho is a Markdown editor where a fenced block becomes a picture. Sketch an idea as a Mermaid mind map, lay out a process with Graphviz, drop in hand-written SVG, and write the equation underneath. It renders as you type.
Ask about the page you're on.
Stuck on a figure? Ask. Kaho's assistant reads what you are reading and answers right beside it, with the mathematics typeset properly, not flattened into plain text.
- Answers are grounded in the open document, page and figure.
- Replies are Markdown, so they can carry equations, tables and diagrams.
Just say what you want.
Kaho means “say it” in Hindi. Press a shortcut and talk the way you would to a person beside you. Kaho opens the book, arranges the panes, starts the terminal or answers the question, and shows you what it heard.
Fast because every pixel is the GPU's job.
Kaho has no web view underneath. Text, pages, diagrams and every bit of interface are drawn by the graphics card, so a shelf of thousands of pages, a terminal stream and a live treemap all stay smooth.
A GPU-accelerated terminal, built in.
A real shell lives in a pane right next to your reading. Colours, Unicode and fast scrollback, drawn by the same renderer as everything else, so you never leave the page to run a command.
Every machine on your tailnet, one click away.
Kaho has Tailscale built in. It finds the machines on your tailnet and connects to them over SSH. Open a terminal on any of them, or browse and read their files graphically, as if they sat on your own desk.
- Remote terminals in a pane, beside your local documents.
- Remote folders, PDFs and notes open in the same reader.
- Your saved hosts and SSH config sit alongside your Tailscale peers.
Read. Write. Ask. Say it.
Kaho runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux.
